Sari Hati Foundation

In November 2022, our team embarked on a heartwarming journey to the Sari Hati Foundation at the PKP Community Center in Ubud, Bali. The purpose? To participate in a tutoring program and engage in an inspiring upcycling activity. What transpired was a day filled with laughter, learning, and empowerment, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

The PKP Community Center, formerly known as the KIM Women's Centre, now provides a nurturing and safe space for growth and collaboration for all community members, working side by side for their collective development. PKP is part of the KIM Foundation. Read More

Our visit to the Sari Hati Foundation began with a tutoring program designed to provide valuable skills and knowledge to the women at the center. We were truly inspired by their determination, resilience, and eagerness to learn. The exchange of knowledge was a two-way street, as we learned just as much from them as they did from us.

The Art of Upcycling: Turning Used Cooking Oil into Candles One of the most exciting activities of the day was the upcycling project. We set out to upcycle used cooking oil into beautiful candles. Not only was this a sustainable initiative, but it also provided an opportunity for the women to learn a new skill that could potentially generate income for them.

Our day at the Sari Hati Foundation in Ubud, Bali, was truly unforgettable. It was a day of inspiration, learning, and connection. We left with our hearts full of gratitude, knowing that our small efforts could make a big difference in the lives of the women at the foundation. The upcycled candles we created were not just physical objects; they represented the light of hope and empowerment for a brighter future.

As the year-end holidays approached, we couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment, knowing that we had made a positive impact in the lives of those in need. We are already looking forward to our next visit, eager to continue our journey of empowerment and support for the Sari Hati Foundation. Support them here
